How Can severe Menstrual Pain Be Treated?

Hi I m 27 year old woman.I m not married and I didn t have any sexual relationships.(Hight 5 2 weight 43kg ) I m suffering from irregular(sometimes once a 22 days or 25 or 30) and severe menstrual pain and the pain starting 7- 8days before my menstrual cycle.This is normal or pathological?please help me.Thank you.

Hi, I think it is not normal to have pain for such a long time and having irregular periods. Go for evaluation first. Do a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries. Consult a gynecologist. You can take some pain killers like mefenamic acid. You may need some hormonal treatment. Hope I have answered your question.
